Hey don't forget tonight is 31 cent ice cream scoop night at Baskin Robbins. So forget about cooking dinner and head out for ice cream. Ok so it may not be the best dinner in the whole world. But if you only do it once or twice a year it's not that bad. And it sure is FUN! Besides for less than $5 (including a tip - You gotta tip those girls! They are working hard today!) you can let the kids pick as many flavors & scoops of ice cream as they want. Choc chip cookie dough - sure no problem! Mint choc chip - go for it! Cookies and cream -yummy! Funky pink Bubble gum - ok - if you think you'll eat it. Double choc something - sure! Pinacoloda - only for you!
We only had ten scoops of ice cream between the 4 of us and 2 of my kids (the ones that had to have 3 scoops) threw away some of theirs. It was a shame! Totally heart breaking.(wink) But you know what? I earned some serious mommy points for #1 letting them get all that ice cream and #2 for not saying I told you so.
I'm still counting today's ice cream indulgence as vacation. Yes, I know technically vacation ended a few days ago. But tomorrow I'll get back on the treadmill. You gotta do what you gotta do. No one is going to want to buy a Snap Fitness membership from a "chunky" owner. Enjoy! your ice cream. YUMMY!
